It´s a saturday in June, it´s summer and it´s really hot.

Our all time favorite danish weather man Peter Tanev made sure to keep us all sunny and happy at the local fleamarket in Copenhagen Østerbro, which he was in charge of with his wife Sia. Here´s the police trying to find out WHY these cars havent moved yet.

Long before the market was declared officially open, which is 10 am, people were desperate and quick to spot the good stuff from the bad - and due to the danish Constitution Day all shops were closed so the money stream was extremely beneficial for us, since it went down Willemoesgade. On this long-awaited summer it felt like 30 degrees and we had the perfect spot in the sun all day. There was no doubt. Summer silk dresses from my old collections, colorfull Italian leather jackets, old useless Iphones and broderi anglaise fabrics were hot topics and favorites of the day and sold at a really good price.

All day you were surrounded with an ambient atmosphere with music floating of the speakers from the green parasol mini café. It was packed from early morning till late afternoon with cheefull neighbours and people coming from other parts of Copenhagen. I realized that I knew a great deal of the neighbourhood and that just made me love Østerbro much more.

Here is one of my favorite dj´s, Deejay Tee which cought me totally by surprice when he showed up to hang out with my dear mom and I. I believe this fine gentleman attracted some fine ladies to the stand coz the money was coming my way.

I am rich(er).
Despite the fact that the fleamarket was a good place to network, I realized how hard it was to have someone bargain for your stuff you`ve had for years. And there is no time for regrets at a spot like this. I mean your last price is always decided on how much sentimental value the item has. You just want more space at home and in the same time it´s a question on letting go of the past and make space for new memories and new choices.
Nevertheless... It´s always somehow... a sentimental and emotional give away selling out on your life at a local fleamarket. But I´m content with the effort I put into it... and hey.. it´s always nice to hear you have good style. Thats a self-confidence boost.
